This release is a hotfix for the reversed order between the SOCSO Employer contribution amount and SOCSO Employee contribution amount in the APS#136 SOCSO & EIS combined file format text file.
This is the issues resolved in this release:
- Ensure the APS#136 SOCSO & EIS combined file format text file shows SOCSO Contribution Amount (Employer share) and SOCSO Contribution Amount (Employee share) in correct order.
Starting from 22 July 2022, the Perkeso ASSIST portal allows user to submit SOCSO and EIS Contribution details and payments simultaneously in a single transaction. New file format APS No. 136 SOCSO & EIS Combined has been added in UBS Payroll to support this feature.

Update on EIS Employee Contribution Rate
Updated the EIS Contribution Rate specifically for salary from RM 4000 and onwards.
As per gazetted in Act A1657 Employment Insurance System (Amendment) Act 2022 (https://lom.agc.gov.my/actdetail.php?language=BI&type=amendment&act=A1657 ) , the salary ceiling of the insured has been increased from RM4,000 to RM5,000 to improve employment insurance coverage for workers covered by EIS.
EIS Contribution Rate in Housekeeping>Setup>Government Tables>EIS Table has been updated to the latest Contribution Rate gazetted in Perkeso Board website (https://www.perkeso.gov.my/en/rate-of-contribution.html ) with effective from September 2022 salary onwards.

Print Reports in A4 Format
Reports in A4 paper size format are now made available in the system as an additional option. If you would like to print report in A4 paper size format, you can manually switch the default report folder in Setting.
How to change the default report folder?
1) In UBS, go to Landing Page > Company Listing > Click on Admin > Administrative Settings.

Update on EPF Employee Contribute Rate
- As per stated in EPF Board Press Release https://www.kwsp.gov.my/en/web/guest/w/epf-supports-budget-2022-measures-tospur-the-economy-and-build-resilience-key-to-rebuilding-retirement-savings, EPF Employee Contribution Rate for members below 60 years old reverts from 9% to 11% with effective from 1 July 2022.
Upon users accessing Company data, reminder message regarding the EPF Contribution Rate has been updated as shown below:
Minimum Wages Order 2022 (http://minimumwages.mohr.gov.my/images/mpgn/Warta PGM 2022.pdf ) has been gazetted by Malaysia government with effective from 1 May 2022.
Upon users accessing the newly created Company data, the disclaimer regarding Minimum Wage Law has been updated in compliance with Minimum Wages Order 2022 as shown below:
New setting has been introduced to allow user to change the bill age of Payment to be posted to UBS Accounting.
New setting, Post to DAccount – Set default Payment bill page to, is added in Housekeeping > General Setup > Payment Setting.
